De Praktijk

De Praktijk is een onafhankelijk creatief projectbureau voor natuurwetenschappelijk onderwijs en wetenschapscommunicatie.

We bedenken sinds 2000 concepten, ontwikkelen lesmateriaal, organiseren projecten en geven advies over onderwijs. Onderwijs in de bovenbouw van havo en vwo, maar ook in de onderbouw, op het vmbo en zelfs op de universiteit. Daarnaast werken we aan wetenschapscommunicatie voor het ‘grote publiek': van redactie- en schrijfwerk, tot programmering en productie van wetenschapsnachten of wetenschappelijke onderdelen voor allerlei events.

De Praktijk heeft een breed scala van opdrachtgevers en partners en een zo mogelijk nog breder scala van werkzaamheden en soorten projecten.

Wij zien in deze projecten een kans om te werken aan goed onderwijs en betere wetenschapscommunicatie. Zo kunnen we docenten extra mogelijkheden geven om jongeren goed op te leiden, scholieren meer plezier laten hebben in de les en mensen van jong tot oud enthousiast maken over (natuur)wetenschap.

De Praktijk is a creative company for science education and communication. We develop educational concepts and materials, and offer advice on subjects related to students, schools and education. In our eleven years of existence De Praktijk has grown to a company that prides itself on a portfolio of high quality, out of the ordinary projects in education and science communication. These projects originate from the knowledge and experience of the people in our office, but profit enormously from our extensive network of students, teachers, school managers, scientists, science communication experts and others.

More than 3000 teachers and other interested parties are "registered members", who have free access to our online, open educational materials. We publish all our materials under Creative Commons licenses (http://creativecommons.org). This means we grant some or all of the rights on the materials to the public. We strive to empower teachers to give lessons that are high quality and fun at the same time.

Outside schools, De Praktijk creates, organises, and programmes science events or other scientific fun for widely varying audiences. The more people we can infect with our enthusiasm for science, the better.
